Reinvention is a multidisciplinary project exploring identity, transformation, and the evolving nature of artistry. Through performance, visual storytelling, and personal narrative, BK reflects on the experience of being an artist who resists conventional expectations.
Capturing over a decade of creative growth, the project traces a journey of passion, uncertainty, and self-discovery. “I will never be what society expects me to be,” BK says. “My art is expansive.” Each video reveals a new layer of purpose and resilience.
More than a performance, Reinvention is a living archive—an intimate invitation for audiences to reflect on craft, identity, and the courage to continually redefine oneself.
My work reimagines performance, music, and dance as spaces of transformation, dialogue, and discovery, creating immersive experiences that both honor history and push it forward, introducing new layers of meaning and perspective.
At the heart of my practice is a belief in reinvention as a form of resilience. By bringing overlooked works to light and reframing the familiar, I invite audiences to rediscover what they thought they knew and to reflect on how legacy, identity, and artistry continue to evolve. My performances are not simply tributes; they are explorations of self, memory, and storytelling, designed to provoke thought and spark change.
My past deeply informs my work, with reinvention as the constant thread running through my community, educational, and performance endeavors. In every project, I strive to create experiences that encourage others to see possibilities where they once saw limits.
